Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. After all, you're what makes all this happen. Learn more

Mata, Looper and Fly might be leaving Royal Never Give Up

Royal Never Give Up mid laner Le “xiaohu” Yuan-Hao said on his stream that the team’s two Korean players might return to Korea, according to Fomos.

XiaoHu reportedly said on stream that Cho “Mata” Se-Hyeong and top laner Jang “Looper” Hyeong-Seok might leave the ends of their contracts and that he expects Looper will go back home for schooling, while Mata will become a coach. It’s unclear when the players’ contracts end.

There might be further upheaval with RNG’s team after its quarterfinal exit at the League of Legends World Championship. The team’s coach, Kim “Fly” Sang-Chul, also appears to have left the team and is looking for a new team to coach.

Fly appears to have tweeted on Tuesday that he is looking for a new team and listed his email in the post.

The Twitter account was set up this month and has only six tweets and 153 followers as of 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, so it has not yet been verified if the account actually belongs to Fly.

Fomos is also reporting Fly has left the team, citing the same tweet. Slingshot has reached out to Fly for comment.
