Afreeca parts ways with entire League of Legends roster

The Afreeca Freecs will find themselves in the same situation as the ROX Tigers and CJ Entus for the coming 2017 split.

The Afreeca Freecs  parted ways with their entire League of Legends roster through a Facebook announcement Wednesday after previously ending their contracts with Nam “Lira” Tae-yu and Jeon “ikkssu” Ik-su.

“Hello fans. We regrettably share some unfortunate news,” the post stated. “The entire LoL team as well as coach Jeong Jae-seung’s contracts have come to an end under mutual agreement. We hope you cheer and support for Heo “Lindarang” Man-heung, Yoon “Seonghwan” Seong-hwan, Son “Mickey” Young-min, Kwon “Sangyoon” Sang-yoon, and No “SnowFlower” Hoei-jong, as well as coach Jeong Jae-seung.  We thank the players and the coach for their work and passion last year. We support their future plans.”

In a report written by Fomos’ Park Sang-jin, Afreeca apparently negotiated with the players until late into the night but  failed to come to an agreement with them.
