SKT head coach: “In many ways, Huni seemed to be the player with the most growth potential.”

SK Telecom T1’s new hire was acknowledged for his future potential with the team.

SKT made the official announcement about their new top lane pick Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon through social media on Thursday. Huni is expected to follow the footsteps in world champion Lee “Duke” Ho-seong, and SKT’s head coach Choi Byung-hoon talked more in detail about the reasoning behind the hire in an interview with OSEN’s Ko Yong-jun.

“In many ways, Huni seemed to be the player with the most growth potential,” he said. “I think he’s a good player to mold. I think it’ll be interesting.”

The article from OSEN also reported that there were three possible choices for the final piece of the SKT puzzle including Huni, but did not go into detail as to who those other candidates were.
