Dekay: Splyce adds ryx and Drone, according to sources

North American Counter-Strike team Splyce has added Ronnie “ryx” Bylicki and Tayler “Drone” Johnson to its active roster, according to multiple sources close to the team.

Ryx and Drone will replace spots vacated by Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva and David “DAVEY” Stafford, who both departed the organization last month.

Drone, 19, briefly signed with Counter Logic Gaming as a sixth player in recent weeks before taking an opportunity to join Splyce. Having never played above ESEA Premier, he will have much to prove as a player for this team. It will be a true test to see if he can help improve the performance of Splyce in Season 4 of ESL Pro League.

Ryx will join Splyce after leaving a fractured Echo Fox lineup that failed to live up to its fullest potential in many ways. While criticized in the past for his one-dimensional play, he has shown promise and growth in 2016 as a rifler. The addition of one of the most consistent players on Echo Fox should help this roster tremendously.

Splyce must beat the loser of TSM vs. Rush to avoid relegation from Season 5 of ESL Pro League in 2017.

Splyce did not initially respond to request for comment. The team’s Twitter account teased the release of the roster for tomorrow.
