SKT signs 18-year-old mid laner Sky

LCK final
Tickets for the LCK final sold out in a day

SK Telecom T1’s most famous player has a backup.

SKT announced Monday the signing of former CJ Entus mid laner Kim “Sky” Ha-neul through Twitter. Sky was one of the players to leave following CJ’e relegation from League Champions Korea. Sky will, of course, play behind Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.

One of the LCK’s youngest players at 18 years old, Sky had much to prove when CJ added him right before the 2016 season. Making a name for himself as Taliyah and Twisted Fate during the spring split, his favored champions were consistently banned out against him, and he also had to compete with fellow mid laner Kwak “BDD” Bo-seong.

Although he showed some potential, Sky was inconsistent last season and often criticized for his shallow champion poll and weak game management. It will be interesting to see how SKT plans to polish and groom its latest addition.
