Flame on learning English: “when I get to America, I’m planning to receive tutoring.”

New Immortals top laner Lee “Flame” Ho-jong said that he’s going to find a tutor for English after he leaves for North America at the conclusion IEM Gyeonggi in a video interview with Daily eSports.

“Right now I’m trying to learn using phone applications and workbooks,” he said. “When I get to America, I’m planning to receive tutoring for English.”

Communication is often a concern when a Korean player is introduced into another region, and with the proliferation of Korean players in most major regions, some players have gone through different methods of picking up the language most used by their teams.

G2’s jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun said that he used sticky notes and electronic translators to be able to communicate with his team. Phoenix 1’s new mid laner Yoo “Ryu” Sang-wook said that when he was with H2K, the team provided him with an English teacher, until he elected to absorb the language naturally by working with the team.

Flame is certainly showing great dedication to communication with his investment into an English team, and if it was something that that Immortals is offering him, it would then show how much they value Flame as a player.
