BBQ head coach: “The players had early morning scrims while dealing with the frustration of consecutive losses.”

The bbq Olivers ended a recent losing streak against the Afreeca Freecs on Wednesday, and in an interview with OSEN’s Ko Yong-jun, head coach Kim Ga-ram said that the preparation was a tough process for the players.

“The players had early morning scrims while dealing with the frustration of consecutive losses,” he said. “I want to thank them for following my lead when it must have been difficult.”

Kim also confessed he was concerned with Afreeca’s momentum going into the match, as the Freecs earned a 2-0 victory against reigning champion SK Telecom T1 in their previous match. But that he was confident in his players.

“Afreeca had strong momentum, and on the other hand, our team wasn’t doing so well,” he said. “I still believed that our team could win if the players just played their own game. We won thanks to their solid plays today.”
