Bang (jokingly) on missing 1,000 kills: “I was most upset with Faker. He kept telling me that we couldn’t go for it.”

Faker

SK Telecom took a 2-0 victory over Samsung Galaxy on Thursday, reclaiming first place in League Champions Korea. As MVPs, SKT’s bottom lane, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik and Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan were invited to the post-match interview with OGN caster Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun.

One of the match highlights focused on SKT chasing down Samsung into the jungle from the dragon pit, as they claimed two kills from Samsung’s retreat. When CloudTemplar jokingly asked if SKT has a particular battle cry when chasing someone down, Wolf replied lightheartedly.

“We get scolded if we yell too much in the booth, so we just push forward with the passion we have within,” he said.

Wolf continued to give entertaining responses throughout the interview, and when asked if the lack of CC was a cause for concern in Game 2, he summed up the game in a single phrase.

“I didn’t get nervous,” he said. “I think that fast champions are good champions, so even if the opponents have a lot of CC, it’s fine if we quickly retreat or dodge. As I said before, it’s a game where you have to land your stuff and dodge theirs. Using the strengths of speed of not dodging easily and hitting them, it works out.”

Bang barely missed out on his 1,000th career kill, and his seemingly nonchalant attitude turned into witty banter between with Wolf who said he thought his lane partner “went absolutely crazy.”

“Since I care about the win and not who gets 1,000 kills, so I made the call to just hit the nexus,” Bang claimed. “I do feel like they could have given me two kills, though. It’s not over until it’s over, but we were so ahead. I was most upset with Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok). He kept telling me that we couldn’t go for it. Peanut (Han Wang-ho) tried to give me a kill, but they’re all the same to me. I feel like it’s too mean for them not to give me the kills.”
