Faker on time off: “We have a three day break so I think we’ll spend that time to be able to return to our usual form.”

After the 2-0 victory over Samsung Galaxy  by SK Telecom T1 on Thursday, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok had a video interview with Fomos’ Kim “Kenzi” Yong-woo, and said that SKT will have to do better.

“We have a three day break so I think we’ll spend that time to be able to return to our usual form,” he said. “I think we’re showing a lot of shortcomings lately so I think we need to come back after fixing those.”

There have been concerns among the fans that SKT has been having some shaky performances following their 2-0 loss at the hands of the Afreeca Freecs. These feelings must be reflected by the coaching staff, as Thursday’s broadcast caught coach Kim “kkOma” Jung-gyun seemingly berating his team after their Game 1 victory.

Faker also seems concerned about his recent performances, saying on multiple occasions there are still things he needs to work on. However, he remains optimistic that with some time off, SKT will be able to defeat KT Rolster in their next match.

“I think if we return to the way we usually play, we can beat them,” he said.
