Longzhu Gaming’s Song “Fly” Yong-jun said popular pick in the mid lane still befuddles him.
After Longzhu’s match against the ROX Tigers on Thursday, Longzhu’s top laner Koo “Expession” Bon-taek and Fly were invited to the post-match interview with OGN casters Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun as the MVPs of the match.
The casters asked Fly what he thought about ROX’s mid laner Son “Mickey” Young-min playing Ahri, a champion with which he was undefeated until Thursday. Fly decided to throw a broader sentiment as a response.
“I don’t know why people play Ahri,” he said. “I still think she’s a terrible pick so I don’t know why people keep picking her. I don’t understand at all. When I saw the pick I thought, ‘Why is he picking her? I better not lose.'”
Expession was awarded with MVP points for his Game 1 performance as Nautilus, which included a puzzling moment where he stole the Baron away from the ROX Tigers without using a single skill. When asked about it, Expession was just as clueless as the viewers on the matter.
“I considered the Baron gone and thought I should get one or two enemies before I died, but then I noticed that I stole the Baron,” he said. “I was very taken aback as to what happened at the moment.I wasn’t even sure how I got the Baron without using any skills so I was surprised but we still opened up the fight nonetheless. I still don’t know how I stole it.”
