Kongdoo’s Ssol: “Zefa really focused on me, and he’s been working with me on drafting and the laning phase.”

The return of Lee “Zefa” Jae-min continues to pay dividends for Kongdoo Monster’s performance.

Kongdoo concluded its split with a 2-1 win Thursday against Longzhu Gaming. Although Kongdoo is confirmed to have to defend its League Champions Korea spot in the upcoming promotional tournament, Thursday’s win served as a good confidence boost.

AD Carry Seo “Ssol” Jin-sol said during the post-match interview with OGN casters Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun that Zefa, Kongdoo’s coach who recently returned from another health-related absence, has been quite helpful. The expertise of Zefa as the former AD Carry of Najin White Shield has been a significant influence for Ssol.

“Zefa really focused on me, and he’s been working with me on drafting and the laning phase,” he said. “I’ve been playing comfortably since, since I’m also able to play my preferred style. I don’t think Lucian really gets impacted by matchups, and I think Ezreal is a champion that can do well with proper farming. I still think (I am the ace). I think we’re doing well because my laning phase is really solid.”

Since Zefa’s return as a coach, Kongdoo has shown better performances and is 2-1 after starting the season 1-14.
