Twistzz joins Team Liquid, will play at Counter-Strike Summit

Canadian Counter-Strike player Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken has signed with Team Liquid, completing his transfer from Misfits, according to sources close to both teams. Twistzz will play his first LAN with Liquid in next week’s Counter-Strike Summit.

Slingshot reported last week that Twistzz would likely head to to Team Liquid after departing Misfits, and both teams have since reached an agreement regarding his transfer. In the wake of the move, Misfits will reportedly add French players François “AmaNEk” Delaunay and David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic.

Twistzz, 17, became a hot prospect in recent months after consistently performing well against top North American and international competition. After Jacob “Pimp” Winneche left Team Liquid, the organization emerged as the frontrunner to acquire him in an attempt to add additional firepower.

Team Liquid is in a three-way tie for third place after 16 matches in ESL Pro League Season 5. They will need a strong performance for their 10 remaining matches to qualify the finals, which take place June 3-4 in Dallas, Texas.

Team Liquid declined comment.
