LW's Janus will miss Friday's OGN Overwatch Apex match after being hospitalized.

Team LW Overwatch player Song “Janus” Joon-hwa was admitted to the hospital after an ongoing illness flared up one day before competition.

Janus, the tank player for Team LW Blue, decided to go to the hospital as his pneumothorax relapsed, according to an announcement on the team’s official Facebook page. Janus will miss Friday’s OGN Overwatch Apex match against Kongdoo Pathera.

“Janus has asked to have treatment be delayed for one day and strongly asked to be present for tomorrow’s match, but the team has decided to take him to the hospital and not have him present in the match,” the post reads. “Both the team and the players understand his strong will to play through the pain, and we intend to do our best tomorrow.”

Pneumothorax is a condition that leads to shortness of breath or chest pain. It is a condition that can come without any particular cause or in the existence of some lung disease. Janus was previously hospitalized in March for the same reason.
