League of Legends Patch 7.18 will come out a week later than usual, according to a post from Riot Games’ Andrei “Meddler” van Roon.
The patch window for 7.18 will be a week late since Riot needed to put a three-week cycle in somewhere for scheduling purposes. Normally, a new patch comes out every two weeks, but the dev team chose the time between 7.17 and 7.19 because “the game’s pretty stable to work on Runes/other preseason content and do a bit more assessment of final changes for the worlds patch,” Meddler wrote.
Ardent Censer nerf
Following the nerf of the Ancient Coin line of items in the latest live patch (7.16), the item, Ardent Censer is going to get a nerf in patch 7.17. The item has been one of the most hated by players as it allows passive supports with heals or shields to boost an allied AD Carry with bonus attack speed, magic damage, and extra healing very easily. Janna and Taric were the two champions who enjoyed the Censer the most with their frequent heals or shields, and they have been to turn a lane in their team’s favor quite easily.
The item will get a nerf, but Janna and Taric will be left untouched for a patch, as it’s still not clear if they’re busted thanks to the item or just really good champions. As a result, the Janna changes being tested right now won’t be applied any time soon.
Let’s talk about Vayne changes
Gargoyle Stoneplate changes
Apart from bug fixes, Gargoyle Stoneplate might get a change in how it gives the wearer increased health when around a certain number of enemy champions. Instead of treating the 100 percent temporary health increase as bonus health, it’ll split it between base and bonus health. This means Cho’Gath‘s ultimate and the active shield of Iron Locket of the Solari — both of which scale off of bonus health — will be impacted.
