The highly publicized new Star Guardian skins and the Star Guardian themed game mode, Invasion, will go live in League of Legends Patch 7.17.

Following the Aug. 8 announcement, the new Star Guardian skins for Ezreal, Syndra, Soraka, Ahri, and Miss Fortune will be available for purchase in the newest patch. All of the skins will cost 1,350 Riot Points ($10) except for Ahri, which will cost 1,820 RP ($14).

The Star Guardian skins have been some of the game’s most celebrated and elaborate concepts. Along with new particle effects, custom recalls, and sound effects, the previous Star Guardian expansion also had a fully animated 3D music video in both English and Japanese. There was also an online quiz that players could take, which unlocked a summoner icon upon completion. The skins are heavily influenced by the designs of Japan’s magical girl genre of anime and was originally just a skin for the champion Lux.

Invasion was also announced Aug. 8 as a unique game mode tied to the Star Guardian mythos. The new mode is a five player cooperative game where each one plays as one of the Guardians. Each run will have seven different encounters, and the game ends in a final boss fight.

The new Neo PAX Sivir skin will also be enabled on Patch 7.17, but not for purchase. The previously discontinued legacy skin will have a lengthy comeback in the form of a loot exclusive skin from Aug. 31 to Jan. 8, which means players will need to get 10 gemstones from loot box drops, or have the incredibly rare Neo PAX Sivir skin shard to unlock the skin.

For an increased chance for the skin shard, players can purchase Epic Capsules, which contain three skin shards, with one guaranteed to be an epic skin or higher. It also has a higher chance to drop gemstones, and will be available until Sep. 7 for 750 RP each. For those who are truly desperate, Riot Games will giving out codes to unlock Neo PAX Sivir during this year’s PAX West gaming convention.

Original owners of the PAX Sivir skin will have the new one automatically unlocked, and they’ll also have an exclusive border when using the skins while loading in. The original skin will not be available for purchase, loot, or codes.

Patch 7.17, which will go live Wednesday, also includes the Hunt of the Blood Moon game mode, a plethora of champion balance changes, a new item feature and the release of the newest champion, Ornn.
