Slingshot Readers,

We NEED your support. More specifically, the author of this article needs your support. If you've been enjoying our content, you know that a lot of work goes into our stories and although it may be a work of passion, writers gotta eat. If just half our readers gave 1 DOLLAR a month, one measly dollar, we could fund all the work from StuChiu, DeKay, Emily, Andrew (and even Vince). If you contribute 5 DOLLARS a month, we invite you to join our Discord and hang with the team. We wouldn't bother you like this if we didn't need your help and you can feel good knowing that 100% of your donation goes to the writers. We'd really appreciate your support. Immortals releases Hyped from Overwatch roster

Immortals released Hyped from its Overwatch roster

Immortals parted ways with Overwatch player George “Hyped” Maganzini, the organization announced Wednesday.

“Hyped is a respected player who brought a veteran savvy and presence to Immortals,” Immortals general manager Nick Phan said in a statement. “We thank him sincerely for his contributions, and wish him well in future endeavors.”

Hyped was a member of the Sodipop Overwatch team in 2016 and joined Immortals when the roster was purchased last September. As a flex tank player for the team, Hyped is most well-known for his play as Zarya and D.Va. Hyped had success with Immortals during Seasons Zero and 1 of Overwatch Contenders in North America, as the team finished first and sixth place, respectively. Lee “envy” Kang-jae, who joined the team in June, will take over the flex tank position. The announcement details that Immortals’ full roster for Overwatch League will be revealed during the week of Oct. 24.

Immortals is one of the 12 teams that will participate in the upcoming inaugural season of Overwatch League, which begins Jan. 10.
