Team SoloMid, Counter Logic Gaming, Team Liquid and Cloud9 have been accepted into the North American League of Legends Championship Series, according to a report by ESPN.
Three of the four teams were founding members of the NA LCS in 2013. Cloud9 joined that summer and has emerged as one of the best teams in the league. All four would pay a $10 million entree fee as already-existing LCS teams.
One of those three teams has won every championship in the history of the NA LCS. TSM has made it to every iteration of the League of Legends World Championship, and Cloud9 has reached worlds every year since its founding.
The quarter would join the reported additions of OpTic Gaming and Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob to the NA LCS so far, leaving four spots for the 10-team league. Next season will also include a return to the best-of-one format Riot ditched in favor of best-of-threes last summer.
