HellRaisers benched Patrik “Zero” Žúdel from its Counter-Strike roster in light of the team’s recent struggles, the team announced Thursday.
Kristjan “FejtZ” Allsaar will play in Zero’s place as a stand-in.
“After failing in too many qualifiers, it seemed like something needed to change, and that became me,” he said in a news release. “As CS is a game of confidence, my confidence was decreasing exponentially for the past month and that affected my game a lot. There are multiple reasons for it – small changes in roles, graduation year of school and more personal things, but it feels like a reset will help me a lot. I will probably add a longer comment on Twitter in the future. Thanks for all the support and kind words and I wish the current roster good luck!”
The 19 year-old joined the team in January 2016 as a stand-in for Andreas “schneider” Lindberg and became a permanent member of the team in April. HellRaisers’ high point of the year was its semifinal finish at StarLadder Kiev in April, but the team also fell one match short of qualifying for July’s PGL Krakow Major.
The rest of the HellRaisers roster consists of Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow, Bence “DeadFox” Böröcz, and Özgür “woxic” Eker Issa “ISSAA” Murad, who is also playing on a trial period. Hellraisers won’t compete at DreamHack Denver this weekend, though, as the result of visa issues for woxic.
